Second 2011 Ironman World Championship
I’m so pleased to have had my best result ever in Kona. It was a good but tough, hot day at the office. I didn’t feel as good as I’d hoped on the bike and missed one or two opportunities but I’m so pleased that I improved so much from last year. The swim and run went as planned, I went out on the run with a focus on holding my form and seeing what would happen. The next thing I knew I’d quickly moved through the field and into 4th so I knew it could become a great day for me and I continued to go for it.
I’ll find time to get a more detailed update on my race but for now I wanted to say a very big thank you to all of my supporters. My wife, family and fans.

Congratulations again on your podium in Kona and for yet another fastest run split! Amazing. May I ask what running shoes you wore this time? Hope to see you back racing Ironman 70.3 in the Philippines next year!
By the way, I maintain a simple blog, it’ll be great if I can feature you, share some tips on Ironman racing. Some of the Filipino triathletes are preparing for an irondistance race in Bohol on December 3.
