2012 Ironman World Champion

I’ve just done my last bigger training sessions before this weekend’s race. All went well.

With only two weeks to go to Kona I am putting my final touches on my preparations. I still haven’t decided what shoe I will run in at Kona so today I’ll try some out.

Unlike most of the other professional triathletes I prefer to stay in Sydney and train right up until the week before the race. I don’t mind the heat and humidity so I don’t have to acclimatise.

Jaimie and I managed to get some great sightseeing in before I raced in the Philippines 70.3 this year.

I put this clip together today. It’s just a bit of footage of me swimming, but it is something I have wanted to see for myself for a long time.

I hope it works and is ok. I will do more in the future and make them better next time. This was my first time making something for youtube and first time using my new apple macbook pro imovie  program. So easy and quick, but still, next time will be better. Maybe a future as a movie director….

I swam 19.5km last week. that is the furthest i have swum in a week in a long time, but i will try and beat that this week. I am really feeling good in the water and my collarbone/shoulder feels better than ever.
